Park Station Condominiums at Orland Park, IL
Each condominium building has a garage plus four stories. Structure consists of load bearing masonry walls and internal steel beams and columns, with pre-cast hollow-core floor slabs. Roof structure consists of steel beams and open web timber joists.
Retail and Commercial Buildings
Retail Buildings at Naperville, IL
Two new commercial buildings for retail use. The construction consisted of steel beams and columns, load bearing masonry walls, and long span steel girders and roof joists with cantilever overhangs.
Restaurant at Cedar Lake, IN
Two story restaurant by the lake, built on caisson foundations. The first floor is structural, spanning to grade beams; second floor is composite deck on steel beams; and roof is partly steel deck and joists, and partly pre-engineered wood trusses.
Medical and other Office Buildings
Glendale Medical Center, Valparaiso, IN
A single story, wood framed structure with pre-engineered wood roof trusses, some tube steel columns, on concrete trench foundations.
Three Story Office Building at St.Charles, IL
Three story structure with load bearing masonry walls, steel beams and columns, composite concrete-steel deck floor systems, and steel joist roof structure. Features include a tall screen at the roof, and a drive through canopy for a bank at the ground floor.
Rehabilitation and Strengthening
Basement Concrete Wall Rehabilitation, General Mills, West Chicago, IL.
Concrete cracking and spalling was observed in walls and columns near heat exchangers in the basement area. Rehabilitation and strengthening was done incorporating additional structural steel.
